Programs and Care

These resources may be options for your family during the school day, as most provide care from 7:45am-3pm, and 3-6pm. This page includes a list of services both at Lincoln (noted) and elsewhere in Oak Park. If you know of other good options, please share them with us! We'll try to keep the information updated, as changes have come quickly.



By Discovery, D97 Community Partner for in-person K-5 eLearning support at Lincoln and Beye Elementary Schools, has space available, with scholarships, for Full Time (M/T/W/Th/F) and Part Time (M/W/F) or (T/Th) participation, from 7:45am to 3pm. Scholarship Information: D97 is providing $30 per school day for students who receive free/reduced lunch. By Discovery will also contribute $20 per school day for up to 6 students who receive free/reduced lunch, so they may attend for free. Additional scholarship assistance may be available, including supply fees, due to the generous contributions of individual donors. Special project for February/March 2021! Creative Community Collaboration

Moth kits will be delivered to participating local families in Oak Park and in the surrounding communities. By Discovery will pick-up completed moths no later than Sunday, February 27th by 2pm to be included in the "Moon Bright, Starry Night" Community Art Project.

The exhibition date is tentatively scheduled for March 1st through March 31st at 40 West Lake Street, Oak Park. To order a moth kit, please click the green button below. Kits will be delivered within 4 days of order placement.

Hephzibah’s Day Care Program offers nurturing, enriching day care for Oak Park children traditionally after school and during the summer, but due to COVID-19 their day care program has adapted to meet the needs of Oak Park families. Hephzibah will be providing full day care/e-learning support at three Oak Park elementary schools for the first trimester of the 2020-21 school year. There will be a daily structure which supports all the children’s remote learning needs and also provides breaks for physical activity, socialization and play in a safe, nurturing environment. A sliding-scale for fees and financial aid ensure every family has access to high-quality day care.

Magical Minds Studio

Magical Minds Studio will be offering CoLab Schooling for remote learning students. We are happy to have partnered with D97 to assist students engage and learn from their schools curriculum. We'll be providing care at our main location, 110 Madison and Hatch elementary school. We have both full time and part time options available. 


Program Cost

  • In-person remote learning at Magical Minds Studio is $75 per day, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • In-person art-based after school program (includes ceramics) at Magical Minds Studio from 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm is $30 daily.
  • In-person remote learning at Hatch elementary full time is $975 per day part time (2x daily or more) $50 daily
  • Ceramic classes Friday at 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm

The monthly fee is based on the days of the week your child attends.


Scholarships: D97 is providing financial assistance in the amount of $30 per day to students who receive free and reduced lunch. Thanks to generous community members Magical Minds Studio will provide additional scholarship funding based on need.


Payment: Payment is due on the 1st of the month or each Monday if paying weekly.


Safety: Magical Minds Studio will follow all guidelines established by D97, ISBE, IDPH and the CDC. Children and staff will have temperatures checked twice a day, maintain a distance of 6 feet, wear face coverings, wash hands frequently and stay home if unwell to protect the health of others.

Park District of Oak Park @ Carroll Center

The Park District is committed to working with School District 97 to provide quality all-day childcare for parents for the first session of the school year while remote learning is in place. There will be two school sites where the Park District will provide childcare, including Lincoln School. Participants at each childcare location will engage in D97 online learning while in the program.

Oak Park Varsity Club is excited to officially offer our space as a remote learning facility. With the help of JAM Teaching, we are confident that our students will feel supported and enjoy the social aspect that this offering will provide.  

Pricing Options

Half day, full week (M - F) - $150 per week

Full day, full week (M - F) - $250 per week. 

Full day, partial week (M,W,F) - $150 per week. 


Schedule: Doors will open at 7:45 am each morning, allowing for students to settle in and receive additional support before their school day begins. Half day sessions will last until 11am when lunch period begins. Our staff will not disrupt a student if their work carries into the lunch period. Full day will end at 3:30 pm.

This Fall at Code Play Learn we have three great opportunities for families to get their kids engaged with learning:

  • Join us for our small, in person and socially distanced classes where kids can get hands-on with coding, robotics and 3D printing Monday-Friday from 4pm-6pm.  CPL FALL CLASSES

  • Create your own TUTORING POD, with up to six classmates, and let our tutors reinforce learning concepts covered during e-learning. CPL TUTORING
